Timber Sales
Trees to be sold are first marked and measured, indicating exactly which trees are to be sold, and how much they are worth. Our timber sales service provides many safeguards to help regulate harvesting, protect your woodland asset, and help achieve a desirable result.
Forest Inventory
Prism point sampling methods are used to take inventory of the forest. This data yields an array of information needed in making management decisions, such as the volume and value of standing timber, or information needed for carbon credits and sales.
Management Plans
Forestry plans are a compilation of vital data and information regarding a specific tract of forestland. These plans can be written for eligibility in the N.Y.S. Forest Tax Law, and/or the Watershed Forestry Program.

Stewardship PhilosophyI believe that the management of our natural resources is all about, "Stewardship". Being a steward of our forest and assoicated resources carries a sense of responsibility to care for something that extends beyond our personal lives, and which may affect the quality of lives in future generations. I consider the use of trees and wood products as an absolutely essential part of what life should be. The better we understand the science and application of good conservation practice, the better we can manage this awesome renewable resource.

Experience & ExpertiseAs with any profession, knowledge and expertise in specific areas of practice are enhanced and sharpened with years of experience in a given area. The areas of experience and expertise Anthony has acquired are primarily in timber management and sales, and in forest management planning, especially regarding implementation of the New York State Forest Tax Law, (sec. 480-a) forest land tax exemption program. In more recent years much experience has been gained working with the Watershed Agricultural Program, as a Watershed Qualified Forester, enabling landowners to receive funding, (grant money) to offset the cost of forest management services on properties which lie within the bounds of the New York City Watershed in the Catskill Mountain region.

- Timber Managment & Sales -
This service is tailored to help landowners best manage their timber resources. Growing and selling standing timber can be an important aspect of managing and maintaining your forestland investment. Our service can help you to insure you are harvesting in a regulated and sustainable way. Beginning with a good cutting prescription that will help you to achieve specific goals, trees are first marked and measured, then sold by competitive bidding, helping to realize the greatest value the market can bear for your timber. Contracts are designed to give maximum protection with reputable timber harvesting contractors. On site supervision is provided to insure that the entire harvest job is conducted within the specifications of the contract, and that all final cleanup work has been completed.
- Forest Management Plans -
Forest Management Plans are written and designed to be used as a tool to help the forest owner to achieve their landownership goals and objectives. Plans usually consist of inventories of the available resources, such as timber, soils, water, and wildlife, maps that may include aerial gis photos, forest cover types, U.S.G.S. topographic maps, soils maps, and property boundaries.
Recommendations on how to achieve your specific resource and financial goals are the key to a useful forest management plan. Management strategies are then developed based on available resources and the vision and goals you have for your forestland. Plans can be written to meet the criteria of any or all of the forestry programs available to NY State forest owners.
